How to drive in Provence in France

The best way to properly visit Provence in France is by car. Here's the brief on Kiki's original article:

  • They drive on the right side of the road
  • Smaller towns have super narrow roads especially out in the country - One town, in particular, Sault
  • The countryside roads can also be incredibly windy with hairpin turns down steep hills, so mind your speed
  • Same countryside roads are very dark after sun down with few street lights and traffic lights, so exercise caution
  • Renting a car:
  • most cars are manual, if you can't drive a stick shift, be sure to book an automatic car in advance
  • smaller cars are better for navigating the narrow roads in France (eg. Fiat 500)
