How to get to Alberobello in Italy

User submitted photo of Alberobello

The small South Italian Town Alberobello is known for its unique Tulli houses, which are named UNSESCO world heritage site.

By Air then Bus

  1. Fly into Bari or Brindisi airports. Both city airports have main and budget airlines flying into.
  2. Better option: From Bari Airport: take a shuttle bus to Bari Central Station. Then you can take a regional train to Putignano then change to bus. Total tickets cost around 5 euros and 2hr ride - Note that there is no more direct train as the part between Putignano and Alberobello is under renovation.
  3. Less ideal: From Brindisi Airport: take shuttle to Train station, take train to Alberobello but you will need to change 2-4 times and switching to buses too. Tickets cost about 8euros
