How to get to BGC from the rest of Manila by public transportation and taxi

The easiest, and still pretty cheap, way to get to BGC from the rest of Manila is by Grab taxi or regular taxi. Alternatively, you can take public transportation there as well for even cheaper

  • Getting to BGC by taxi:
  • In Manila, the best way to take taxi is to use Grab app. It works identical to Uber; in fact it bought out Uber's business in the entire Southeast Asia a few years ago
  • Grabbing to BGC is quite cheap. From Intramuros on the opposite side of Manila costs just 200 pesos, equivalent to $3.9 USD. From most of Manila, including Makati, it will cost less than this. Grab lets you pay by credit card through the app
  • Taking regular taxis is fine too and costs similar amount to Grab. You can hail them off the street or have your hotel call one for you. I recommend having your hotel getting one for you as the street taxis are notorious for scamming tourists in Manila. Some taxi tips
  • Getting to BGC by public transportation:
  • Take MRT line 3 to Ayala Station, located here. Fare ranges from 13 pesos to 50 pesos (25 cents - $1 USD) depending on where your origin station is. See MRT map here
  • Once you get off at Ayala station, walk over to the BGC Bus Ayala Terminal, located here. It's on the ground floor of EDSA Ayala Bus Terminal, which is a white curved building. You won't miss its distinct shape
  • At BGC Bus Ayala Terminal, buy ticket and get on one of the BGC Bus routes that drop you off at various points in BGC. The fare is a flat 13 pesos (25 cents USD) for any route and stops
