How to get to Fo Guang Shan from Kaohsiung

There are many buses going to Fo Guang Shan from various train stations in Kaohsiung. These are the four options I know:

  • From Kaohsiung Station
  • The main train station. This is not the high speed train station. Located here. Not many departures from here but location is extremely central
  • Take Kaohsiung Bus 8010. "8010高雄客運" in Chinese
  • Fare is 91 Taiwanese dollars
  • Only 3 buses a day at 6:20am, 12:55pm, 6:20pm. On weekends another 6:50am bus is added
  • Takes 60 minutes
