How long does it take to clear customs at Kuala Lumpur International Airport

  • The custom clearing time varies quite a bit and it takes as short as 15 minutes and as long as 80 minutes to clear everything at KL International Airport for foreigners
  • If you're planning for connection times:
  • If both of your flights are booked on the same ticket, then you don't have to worry about your connection times at all because the airline will take care of you and wait for you or book you to another flight if you get delayed
  • If you booked separate tickets for inbound and outbound flights, then you should plan for a minimum of 3 hours transit time.
