How to transfer between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Cebu International Airport

  • Cebu-Mactan International Airport has two terminals:
  • Terminal 1 is for domestic flights
  • Terminal 2 is for international flights
  • It's very easy to transfer to the domestic terminal from the international terminal and vice versa. You have two options: 1) free shuttle bus, or 2) walking
  • Option 1) Free shuttle bus
  • There's a free shuttle bus offered by the airport that connects the two terminals. It's called Premium Airport Bus, and is run by a company called UBE Express (which also runs shuttle buses for Manila airport). The buses are super nice, low-floor and air conditioned. They look like this from the outside:User submitted photo of Mactan–Cebu International Airport
  • Frequency: the shuttle bus runs every 15-20 minutes
  • How long it takes: the shuttle bus will take about 5 minutes to get to the other terminal once it starts moving. However, keep in mind that the bus waits for about 10 minutes at the boarding area for passengers
  • Hours of operation: 24 hours a day, every day of the year
  • Price: the bus is free. However, you need to obtain a coupon to use shuttle bus. You can get the coupon at the arrival guest information desk or the transfer desk in the arrival hall of both the domestic and international terminal. Make sure to present your boarding pass and passport to get a coupon
  • Where to board: the shuttle bus picks passengers up from a designated boarding spot in the arrival hall of both terminals, and is located adjacent to the taxi area of both terminals. Follow the signs for taxi area, and then next to it you should be able to see the shuttle bus boarding spot, which will have a yellow sign like this:User submitted photo of Mactan–Cebu International Airport
  • Drop off point: the bus will drop you off at the departure level of the the terminal you're going to

  • Option 2) Walk
  • Terminal 1 and 2 are located only around 400 meters apart, and it's totally possible to walk from one terminal to the other, which should take about 10-15 minutes
  • If you don't have a lot of luggage, this may not be a bad way to transfer between the two terminals, especially if you don't want to wait for the shuttle bus
  • If you're arriving in the international terminal (terminal 2) and going to the domestic terminal (terminal 1), you need to turn right after after you exit the terminal 2
