Huashan itself is open 24/7 (for hiking and stuff), but the two cable cars only operate during the day. Like most places in China, credit cards are not accepted so you need to bring cash.
North Peak cable car:
- March-November:
- Hours: 7am-7pm
- Fare: ¥80 (~$12 USD) one way, or ¥150 (~$22 USD) both ways
- December-February:
- Hours: 9am-5pm
- Fare: ¥45 (~$7 USD) one way, ¥80 (~$12 USD) both ways
- From the visitors center, there's a 20-min shuttle to take you to the North Peak cable car station. This shuttle is not free and costs ¥20 (~$3) each way in addition to the fares for the cable car itself
West Peak cable car:
- March-November:
- Hours: 7am-7pm
- Fare: ¥140 (~$20 USD) one way, or ¥280 (~$40 USD) both ways
- December-February:
- Hours: 8:30am-5pm
- Fare: ¥120 (~$17 USD) one way, ¥240 (~$35 USD) both ways
- Kids under 1.2m (3"11') are free, kids between 1.2-1.5m (3"11' - 4"11') are half price. Students get 10% discount but I'm pretty sure this is only for Chinese students, but doesn't hurt to bring your student ID
- From the visitors center, there's a 30-min shuttle to take you to the West Peak cable car station. This shuttle is not free and costs ¥40 (~$6) each way in addition to the fares for the cable car itself
