Take metro Central station or Hong Kong Station on Line , the closest way to get to the Star Ferry Pier is through IFC mall where you can walk mostly inside - helpful during rainy season when you get random sudden pours from the sky. You can also walk, follow the sign or look out for the big ferry wheal which is right beside the piers
Once you get to Star Ferry Pier, look for one with MUI WO (Lantau Island) sign on it. It should be Pier 6 if nothing changes between when I write this tip and you reading it
You can purchase a ticket or use your octopus card (highly recommend you to get one if you are travelling in HK).
See detailed ferry into and ticket cost below in HK$. mind there are 2 types of ferries:
Normal: 1h ride
Fast ferry: 40 minutes.
Ferries run daily with a frequency every 30-50 minutes
We just take ordinary class, no need for deluxe if you don't mind natural wind. Deluxe class has AC
