Carry warm clothes when in Rwanda

Rwanda is known to be the land of a thousand mountains. It's generally cool throughout the year with temperatures ranging between 12C/54°F to 27°C/81°F.

• When traveling to Rwanda carry these clothes

1. Long, thick trousers.
2. Long sleeved tops
3. Heavy socks/ Legwarmers
4. Gloves
5. Scarfs

• For official wear, just add a sweater or two and stockings to your normal go to work outfit.
• Beware of stinging nettles especially in the rural areas. When moving to the rural areas it's key that you cover up completely to avert the risk of getting into contact with the plant.
• The periods between December to February is quite warm compared to the rest of the year. If visiting during this period, which happens to be the best time to visit, just carry jeans/skirts, t-shirts/ tops, and some light sweaters.
• Tsetse flies are quite spread out in Rwanda hence keep off dark colored clothes as tsetse flies are attracted to dark colors.
