Cultural etiquettes to be aware of in Tunis

camel riding in Tunisia was like no other camel ride. Forget this touristy 5 minutes ride on my mate's pet camel in Morocco, this was an awesome 1 hour trip across the Sahara desert! Although Tunisia has had some bad publicity recently ( and of course a serious incident) There are still places that one can feel safer without these concerns affecting you. Make sure that you do your homework on researching avoiding busy holiday periods and areas know for problems. Respect the cultural etiquettes such as dress and alcohol in many areas. Most people rely on tourists and hotels are very welcoming.

Useful tips:

  • Research the town first. What do locals expect to see and not to see.
  • Dress wisely so that you feel safe ( if you know what I mean)
